I:SCINTILLA launches 'The War to Win' 1-track download single to support UN Women programs
UN Women is the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women formed in July 2010. This is not just a an argument of men vs. women, nor a claim to hate men, but a fight for all genders to be regarded and viewed equally.
And, with that said, I:Scintilla has written and recorded The War to Win. Here's the band's take on the song:
"We wrote this song,'The War to Win', for a young woman who is a warrior in the truest sense of the word. She survived unthinkable abuse by the hands of a loved one with the system, her family, and the odds stacked against her. Today she shares her story with others who have gone through similar harrowing experiences to help facilitate the process of healing. In her honor and for all women effected by violence, abuse, and gender inequality, we are donating ALL proceeds generated by this song to UN Women. You may donate as little or as much as you would like to the cause to make a difference in the lives of ALL people."
