While his previous works were inspired by underground warehouse dance music, Detroit based producer Hitchens is taking a new route with his latest piece 'Desolate'. Inspired by the synthwave/ambient soundtrack to Netflix's hit series Stranger Things and Depeche Mode's classic vibes, Hitchens presents to you 'Desolate'. Hit the play button below!

This was an intentional effort to move past my earlier releases and find a new way to express my sound.

While I'm not going to give away the real meaning behind the track, I will say there's an underlying story there. It's a journey designed to take you through different emotions, painting a picture in your mind the entire way. -Hitchens

Hitchens was born in Michigan in 1989 during an era where techno was taking over the world. Grabbing a taste for punk rock and hip hop thanks to his father's record collection, Hitchens would study abroad in London where he would discover club sounds at Fabric. Ever since he has been making music, fusing EBM, techno, new wave, and other influences into his music.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
