During the weekend of week 43, Fredrik travelled to Bottrop in Germany to play his first gig with Project Rotten at the club The Cage. This is his story and feelings for the experience.

I don't really want to bore you all so, I'm going to write this as short as possible but also as detailed as I can.

So let's turn back the time to 17:00 at Saturday 24 of October in Bottrop, Germany at The Cage club. I had just arrived and was so pissed off because my stand-in band members were late (the two original ones couldn't make it cause of personal reasons). I was a bit stressed because I was alone in the club without anyone from my band and I had nothing to sound check with really.

The worst part thought was that when I arrived the gothic metal band that was playing last was setting up their shit which took them two hours?! So I just had to sit and watch them get their shit together while nervously waiting for the others to arrive. At about 18:20 my band mates finally showed up and we could start sound checking. Music and everything worked fine, but I couldn't get my stupid effect box to work and I didn't know why. We tried a lot of ways to get it to work without any luck, but then finally we got it working and everything was sounding great!

Around 20:00 people started coming into the club and I just waited and wanted the time to pass by faster so we could finally play. We were the second band in line to go on stage. After watching Electric Breathing playing for just a few interested people it was our time to enter the stage to the track "Hellraiser" by Suicide Commando. I was so nervous until I heard the music starting to our track "Lead or Follow" then I just let all energy loose and gave it my all trying to entertain the crowd. Sadly this crowd was very hard to entertain, there were some people dancing and cheering but still they didn't respond well to me trying to get them to move around a bit more.

We played nine tracks which lasted about forty minutes and after that I was so beat but it was worth it , the feedback I got from people and fans that wanted to take a picture together with me that felt so amazing , I mean, why does someone want a picture with me?!

This wasn't my first gig but it was the first gig with Project Rotten and abroad, I will most definitely remember it and it will always be a great memory and I will surely be back.
