Ventenner quietly stepped into the industrial scene back in 2012 when they released their debut album "This is the Reason". Though not quite noticed at the time, their blend of hardened riffs and industrial tinged electronica allowed them to gain a foothold in what was to come. Honing their skills, 2014's album "Distorture" gave them the push to break out of the womb and onto the lively darkened scene. Hailed as yet another great band in in the industrial rock revival, their true potential finally struck a high note with 2017's album "Invidia" - which was proclaimed as one of the UK's finest albums that year.

But Ventenner does not sit still. Constantly working, constantly touring has its ups and downs, but when the results are this good nothing but satisfaction can come in the end. But that aggressiveness and hostility has all been channeled and built into a smashing hit that is about to make its worldwide debut tomorrow. And that bit of industrial metal heaven is called 'Ataxia'. We at Brutal Resonance are proud to premiere Ventenner's first A-side single of 2018. But no more talk for now. Hit that play button.

Ataxia means disorder. For me, personally and creatively, this is just very relevant right about now. Finding your way as an artist and staying true to yourself, but also trying to make a success of what you're doing, then touring and being a different persona, and them coming home to whatever else is going in your own life. And having to navigate all the bullshit of the music industry. It's a lot of roles to juggle, and a lot of personalities to manage. This song seemed to happen at the right time, in between albums, the whole feel of it, it just seemed to come out and present itself. There is a lot of anger and frustration in this song.
 -Ventenner

Released via Syndicol music, 'Ataxia' is the first part of a double A-side single release, with the other half coming later in the year. Ventenner has also announced that they are in the process of writing a new album and will re-enter the studio after a couple of shows later in 2018.

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
