You know, you might be thinking to yourself: Isn't this the second time Brutal Resonance has premiered a video for Corlyx? The answer to that is: Yes, this is the second time we're premiering a video for Corlyx. Hell, it's not my fault that their darkpop/electro music is so addicting and impacting. That being said, I am proud to exclusively premiere Corlyx's latest music video for their song 'I Feel Nothing'. I need not say anymore, just watch the video and enjoy the music below:

In an interview I did with Corlyx, Caitlin Stokes (singer/songwriter) said that 'I Feel Nothing' is "...about a specific relationship I was in with an alcoholic and the struggle of loving an addict." The poignant lyrics deal with how her voice was never heard, and the video footage explores her mental and physical states during the relationship, as Brandon Ashley (DJ/singer/songwriter) acts as a shell of a human being whose only stability in life comes from an empty bottle. Further exploring the subject in more recent times, Stokes said, "This is a song about how alcoholism numbs a relationship."

Corlyx's 'I Feel Nothing' comes off their debut EP One Of Us, which I personally reviewed. Regarding 'I Feel Nothing', I stated the song "...is emotional, impactful, and provides more than just an angry sentiment."

I've been writing for Brutal Resonance since November of 2012 and now serve as the editor-in-chief. I love the dark electronic underground and usually have too much to listen to at once but I love it. I am also an editor at Aggressive Deprivation, a digital/physical magazine since March of 2016. I support the scene as much as I can from my humble laptop.
